Muncie Baptist Church welcomes people to a wonderful fellowship of believers and followers of Jesus. The focus of our worship is the proclaimation of God's Word. Pastor Todd Creason became the pastor this year, and we welcome his pastoral leadership and strong preaching. Josh Hunsberger has been the youth pastor for eight years. Worship attendance averages about 80 people for worship. People come from Muncie and from the wider area in east central Illinois. Muncie church is a mission-minded church that believes in both local mission needs like the Oakwood Food Pantry and Christian mission work throughout the world.

The Annual 'Live Nativity' hosted by our church will be held in December each year, 5 to 8 p.m. at the church, 205 Main Street, Muncie, IL. Presented for over 35 years, this event features live human characters, live animals, and a drive through convenient way to view the site. People are invited to park North of the church and come inside for crafts for children and a meal. Any donations received go toward local mission needs.
Muncie Baptist Church and Oakwood churches share a 2023 VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL this year. VBS is scheduled for June 19-23, Monday through Friday, 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. It will be held at the Oakwood United Methodist Church this year. Each year a different theme and Bible materials are used. Ages are kindergarten through 7th grade. Bible lessons, Games, Crafts, Music, Snacks are all part of the day. There is no cost to attend. A daily, free will offering - which will go to missions - will be received.
Muncie Baptist Church is an inviting, welcoming congregation of people of all ages. Our worship is traditional with some contemporary music as well as the great hymns of the church. An informal time of sharing praises and prayer requests is a part of every worship service. The sermons seek to be Biblically based and related to everyday living of our faith in Jesus. Our church participates with other community churches and recognizes the wider Body of Christ.
Our Sunday School meets at 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. with teachers Pat McGlaughlin (older children) and Penny Evans (younger children). Sue Richter teaches the adult class. Small group Bible studies are held for several weeks in the Fall and in the Spring on Wednesday evenings.
