Muncie Baptist is an inviting, joyful fellowship of Christians of all ages. Our congregation has a great history and a present commitment to be the body of Christ in the present. We welcome questions about our faith and/or our church.
Muncie Baptist Church was founded in 1852 and has continually held worship through the years. Our average attendance for morning worship is between 80 and 100 attenders. The church includes both young adults and older adults. A choir sings on occasion (musicals at Christmas and on Resurrection Sunday). Special music is often included in our worship. In the late Fall and the Spring, a video Bible study on Wednesday night meets for an hour. Teachers such as Rick Warren, Max Lucado, Chip Ingram, Lee Stroebel, and others have been used. Pastor Dave leads the response to the teaching using the Bible.
The Church house, 202 W. McCarty Street: Located next to the church building, this house has been a temporary home to three missionary families since 2009, and for the last four and a half years the home of Josh and Sara Hunsberger and their three children.
Our congregation seeks to discover God's Word through worship and study. We desire to do God's will through serving the LORD and addressing people's needs in the spirit of Jesus our Lord. Muncie Church is a place where we work to be the Body of Christ, loving one another and doing God's purpose and will. New people are welcome to worship and serve with us.
